To mark the centenary of the birth of St.Josemaría Escrivá, the March 25, 2002 was established in Valencia EIFOR Foundation
with the primary objective of promoting social, cultural, educational and welfare initiatives.
After a detailed study, in May 2003 the Board of Patrons approved the proposal of setting up an Integrated Vocational Training Centre, understanding that this project fits well with the foundational purpose.
From that moment on a series of social training activities and social integration begin, specially popular with the immigrant population: non-labour practices, job seeking techniques and social skills courses, Spanish courses, etc. These activities took place in a temporary headquarters, located in the Alta st. 25. With the necessary authorizations, Tower Crane Operator classes had also started, in order to obtain the professional licence.
In December 2004, after an intensive search, the current headquarters were located in the neighborhood of Orriols (North Valencia): the old cinema Concorde. Given the local conditions, it was able to keep all the activities that were being developed to that day. In 2005, the education offerings in continuing education and training expanded with forklift truck operator, installation of solar panels and basic electricity.
Meanwhile, we were taking steps to create the Integrated Center. The consultations to the Regional Ministry of Industry, Employment and Education, as well as those made in the Chamber of Commerce and the Valencia Business Confederation, took us to the conclusion that the Industrial Maintenance was the most suitable sector for the future school: there was a strong demand for training and also a lack of educational institutions in that field.
Once the approvals were obtained and after the completion of the works to adapt the school, accredited vocational training classes began in September 2006.
